1. Mark Twain or Samuel L. Clemens in real life, who lived in Hartford for several years, is the author of Huckleberry Finn---a classic American novel.
2. Mark Twain's house,which was on Farmington Avenue and in an area called Nook Farm, was very elaborate and elegant and it is neighboring Harriet Beecher Stowe---writer of Uncle Tom's Cabin.
3. Mark Twain's home has a large side porch which is overlooked by windows and a balcony--- reminds people of a steam boat which was piloted by Twain on the Mississippi during his youth.
